YOUNGSTOWN Police investigate burglaries on south, west, east, north sides
YOUNGSTOWN -- Police responded to eight burglary calls on all sides of town from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.
The list of items stolen includes TVs, computers, DVD players and tapes, VCRs, CD players, cash, a leather coat, gold jewelry and a loaded handgun.
Reports show the burglaries took place on these streets on the South Side:
U School Street -- the rear door had been kicked in, which damaged the frame and lock plate. Missing are two TVs and a CD player.
U West Judson Avenue -- the side door had been kicked in. Missing are a cordless phone and Sony PlayStation with seven games.
U East Lucius Avenue -- the side door had been pried open. Missing are $700, a CD player and AM-FM cassette player.
U East Philadelphia Avenue -- the rear door had been kicked in. Missing are $100, a DVD player and cell phone.
On the West Side:
U Bouquet Avenue -- the rear door had been forced open and knocked off its frame. Missing are a leather coat worth $300 and .38-caliber loaded handgun.
U Tracy Lane -- the rear door had been kicked in. Missing are a gold bracelet and gold charm.
On the East Side:
U Plazaview Court -- the rear door had been kicked in. Missing are a TV, stereo and computer system.
On the North Side:
U Brookline Avenue -- the basement door was somehow unlocked. Missing are a mountain bike, TV, DVD player and tapes and a VCR.
