Austintown cops find stolen minivan

AUSTINTOWN -- Police found nine floppy disk drives early today in a stolen minivan that was parked in a carport on Woodhurst Drive.
The minivan had been reported stolen from Geneva, Ohio. A modem and a computer monitor also were in the minivan, which was found heavily damaged and with its hood up.
Police also are investigating tires being slashed on several cars parked along Nantucket and Woodhurst drives in recent days.
Reports show that tires on four cars were slashed Wednesday. More were slashed in that area this morning.
All of the cars were in carports.
A North Lima man also told police this morning that two of his tires were slashed while his car was parked on DePauw Avenue.
In addition, police received reports Wednesday that a car and a $300 fluorescent light were stolen from South Raccoon Road driveways. The light was on a car that had been pelted with eggs.
