Parade will continue
SALEM -- Salem Area Chamber of Commerce officials decided last year to discontinue the annual Salem Jubilee. But the chamber said earlier this week that it will still hold the grand parade through the downtown area. The parade is set for 6 p.m. July 20. Deadline for registering to participate in the parade is July 5. Anyone interested in donating to help cover the parade's cost may contact the chamber of commerce.
Meeting change
BOARDMAN -- The Mahoning Valley Basha, China, Burma, India Veterans Association will meet at noon Saturday at Denny's Restaurant, 154 Boardman-Canfield Road. The meeting was originally scheduled to take place at Country Kitchen.
