Bulgarian TV viewers aren't getting "The Naked Truth" anymore.
The comely female newscasters who took off their clothes while they read the news on the private MSAT-TV network have been scratched.
The Council on Electronic Media, which keeps its collective eye on the tube for the parliament and the president, uncovered a show-ending scandal.
Was it the nakedness of the newswomen? No. The fact that the naked news was drawing more viewers than state TV? No. The council found that the show's title was plagiarized from a similar Russian broadcast.
Bulgarian censors take a tougher view of plagiarism than some members of American academia.
