Robbers hit station twice in four days
SANDY LAKE, Pa. -- McQuiston's Gas Station on U.S. Route 62 in Sandy Lake Township was the target of robbers twice within a four-day period.
Pennsylvania State Police said the station was robbed one week ago today by a knife-wielding man and again Saturday by two people.
In the latest case, police said two wearing ski masks approached the attendant around 9:50 p.m. Saturday and demanded money. They had no weapons but did threaten the attendant with a piece of wood, police said.
They got $150 in cash and fled on foot, police said.
In last Tuesday's robbery, police said a robber was wearing an orange ski mask when he entered the station around 8:30 p.m. and demanded money. He got $192 from the attendant, ordered the attendant to get under a desk and then fled, police said.
