Mount Union College Peterson Fieldhouse in Alliance -- will be the site of three camps for boys ages 13-18. The camps will be from noon-3 p.m. on Sunday (hitting and bunting), Jan. 27 (infield and outfield instruction) and Feb. 3 (pitching and catching). Columbus Hyatt Regency Hotel -- is where Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association will hold a youth clinic on Feb. 8-9. Ron Polk, University of Mississippi coach, and Phillip Wellman, a member of the Cincinnati Reds minor-league staff, will hold sessions. The agenda may be downloaded at www.ohsbca.org. St. Dominic Parish Center Gym -- at 3403 Southern Blvd., Youngstown, will be where the Youngstown Knights of Columbus sponsors its annual basketball free throw contest on Saturday for Youngstown students ages 10-14 on Jan. 1. Registration begins at 1 p.m. Proof of age is required.

Madison Youth Basketball -- has youth tournaments scheduled in February and March for students in grades four-six. Pool-play format begins Feb. 25 for girls in grades five and six, March 4 for boys in grade six and March 11 for boys in grades four and five. Entry deadline for girls is Feb. 16. SOFTBALL CAMP
Kent State University -- will be where KSU softball team sponsors camps on Sundays from Jan. 27-Feb. 24 at the Kent State Field House on Summit Road. On tap is a pitching, hitting and bunting camp for girls from grades 3-12 and also a defensive position camp (catching, outfield and infield) for girls from grades 7-12. An intermediate pitching camp will be held from 9-10:30 a.m., while a beginning pitching session is set for 10:30 a.m. to noon.
