Installation ceremony held by Al Koran Shrine at center



BROADVIEW HEIGHTS -- Officers who will head Al Koran Shrine during the coming season were installed Jan. 5 during a meeting held at the Al Koran Shrine Center.
Phillip C. Welce was installed as potentate by Thomas A. Park, illustrious sir; Richard Brintzenhofe, past potentate, and John Federovitch.
Background: Welce served as master of Negley Lodge F & amp;AM 565 in 1986 and 1991 and was named Mason of the Year in 1992. For more than 12 years he was chairman of the committee serving crippled children for Youngstown Shrine Club, of which he served as president in 1993.
He is a member of East Liverpool Shrine Club, Trumbull Shrine Club, Camel Herders Stable 45, Hunters Camp 1, Lorain County Shrine Club and Hillbilly Clan 24, and is a regional assistant for hospital admissions and on the Al Koran membership program committee.
Welce is also a member of the Cincinnati Shrine Burn Hospital board of governors, the Fairfield Ruritan Club, American Legion, Daytona Moose Club and the American Motorcycle Association, is a life member of Harley-Davidson Owners Group, and holds honorary life memberships with Aladdin, Antioch, Syrian and Zenobia temples.
He is also a member and past trustee president of First United Methodist Church, Columbiana, and attends the Church of Christ in Boardman. He and his wife, Rita, live near Columbiana, where he owns Phil's Sales and Service.
