The American Lung Association and two drug companies are offering a free copy of updated guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Influenza and the Common Cold. The guidelines are available in English or Spanish by calling (888) 254-4054 or visiting the Web site www.lingusa.org. The publication contains information on how the flu and cold viruses are transmitted, how to prevent the illnesses, and treatment options available.
Birth classes
CANFIELD -- Birthworks at the Ursuline Education Center, Shields Road, offers two Saturday classes.
UInfant Care, Feb. 9, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., cost $40.
UChildbirth Preparation, Feb. 16, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., cost $55.

Forum Health offers several birth classes. They include:

Diabetes class

AUSTINTOWN -- The Mahoning County Health Department is offering flu and pneumonia shots from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at 50 Westchester Drive.
