YSU starters: Stephen Flores, 6-foot-7 senior forward (8.3 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game); TeJay Anderson, 6-6 sophomore forward (11.8, 5.3); Jimmy Moore, 6-5 freshman guard (7.9, 5.2); Doug Underwood, 6-3 freshman guard (12.6, 3.9); Ryan Patton, 5-11 senior guard (15.5, 2.2).
Butler starters: Brandon Miller, 6-0 junior guard, 10.0 ppg, 3.7 rpg; Thomas Jackson, 5-9 senior guard, 14.1, 3.3; Scott Roisch, 6-11 senior center, 8.4, 4.8; Ryan Hainje, 6-6 senior forward, 15.4, 5.3; Joel Cornette, 6-10 junior forward, 6.3, 5.4.
Scouting report: The Penguins are coming off a 71-58 loss at Cleveland State, their second loss in the Horizon League. The Penguins could have senior guard Rafael Cruz back for tonight's contest. They also have freshman Brian Radakovich back after the 6-7 forward was first reportedly lost for the year with heart problems, but was reinstated after undergoing more extensive tests that proved negative. Butler suffered its second Horizon League defeat in its last outing at Detroit, 63-54. The Bulldogs were ranked 24th in the country in the most recent Associated Press poll. This will be the 12th time that the Penguins have played against a ranked opponent and they are 0-11 in the previous meetings. The Penguins have played only one ranked opponent at home -- Pittsburgh in 1974.
The series: This is only the second meeting between the Penguins and Bulldogs. The first meeting was played in 1983 in the Cardinal Varsity Classic in Muncie, Ind. YSU won that contest 90-79.
