YOUNGSTOWN -- A Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Community Service of Worship will be at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at Third Baptist Church.
The theme will be "Winning the Bright Daybreak of Peace."
Special speaker
SALEM -- Lee Williams will speak at Real Life Assembly of God Church at 10:30 a.m. Sunday on how faith helped him overcome tragedy and minister to others.
In 1988, Lee's wife, Joy, 34, and daughters, Kristen, 14, and Robin, 10, were among the 27 church bus passengers killed near Carrolton, Ky., in the nation's deadliest crash caused by a drunken driver.
Lee is the denomination's Kentucky district men's director and is an active member of Heartland Christian Center Assembly of God in Kentucky.
Counseling class
CORTLAND -- Pastor Dan Barker of Cortland Trinity Baptist Church, who has a master's degree in counseling, will present a class on setting boundaries.
The nine-week course meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays beginning Jan. 21. Participants will receive instructions and Biblical principles on having healthy relationships.

YOUNGSTOWN --The local unit of the American Baptist College is open for registration in its spring semester.
Courses will be offered for church leaders, lay members and those who want to sharpen their skills in ministry.
The school meets from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Jan. 22 at the Eastern Ohio Baptist Building.

YOUNGSTOWN --The Greater Youngstown Coalition of Christians will have a prayer rally and annual business meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 28 at Metro Assembly of God Church.
Marriage program
VILLA MARIA, Pa. -- Villa Maria Retreat Center, a ministry of the Sisters of Humility of Mary, will offer its seventh annual marriage preparation weekend Feb. 15 to 17 and 22 to 24.
The program is open to couples of all faith traditions and covers such topics as communications, family of origin, children and marriage, sexuality, relationship development, potential problem areas, commitment and sacraments.
The cost of $135 per couple includes all materials, meals, refreshments, private rooms, use of facilities and fees. Financial assistance is available.
