ANNIVERSARY MCAR Inc.

Mercer County Association for the Retarded has a yearlong series of events scheduled to mark its 50th anniversary:
Feb. 21: A Cuisine of the County fund-raiser at various Mercer County restaurants.
March 4: Mental retardation awareness essay contest for sixth- and 10th-graders.
March 17-18: Custom-built children's playhouse raffle at the Mercer County Builders Association Show.
March 26: MCAR open house.
May 2: MCAR annual dinner at Tiffany's Banquet Center, Brookfield.
May 13: 20th annual Foundation Golf Scramble at the Hickory VFW Golf Course.
Sept. 28: Dinner dance with silent auction at the Sharon Country Club.
Oct. 5: Oktoberfest Picnic/Carnival at the Shriner's Picnic Ground.
