Valley Arts Guild schedules public reception for exhibition



SHARON, Pa. -- The Valley Arts Guild will hold a public reception from 7 to 9 p.m. today at its gallery at 10 Vine Ave. for its 19th annual Watercolor Exhibition.
A total of 60 pieces were entered by 22 area artists.
The Nate Dunn Memorial (Best of Show) Award went to Marlene Comunale of Sharon for "The Twilight Years."
Other winners include the Dr. and Mrs. William Henwood Award to Josephine Gustovic of Brookfield for "Champagne Bouquet"; the Goldstein's Furniture Co. Award to James O'Malley of Struthers for "The Final Resting Place"; the Black, Bashor and Porsch Award to Mary Jean Milich of Butler for "Gerberas"; the Gilbert's Insurance Co. Award to Laura Burchard of Lyndhurst, Ohio, for "Spring Rain"; the Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Bolotin Award to Elizabeth Rundorff of Hermitage for "Study"; and the Joy Cone Co. Award to Mieze Reidel of Alliance for "Iris."
Gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m. Mondays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. It will also be open from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday for this show only.
