Crest Lanes to hostbowling tournament
WARREN -- Crest Lanes will be the site of an Ohio State Queens Bowling Tournament this weekend.
Top women bowlers (at least 170 average) from across the state will compete. The qualifying round starts Saturday at 10 a.m. The tournament's stepladder finals begin Sunday at 2 p.m. Crest is located on Rt. 422.
Reino namedacademic all-star
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Westminster College junior men's soccer player Pasquale Reino, a graduate of Neshannock High School, is one of 11 players selected to the 2001 Verizon Academic All-District II College Division Men's Soccer team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Reino appeared in 19 games with 14 starts at forward for the Titans (14-5-1). He finished with eight goals and eight assists. He has a 3.564 grade point average.

First woman inboxing hall of fame
CANASTOTA, N.Y. -- Aileen Eaton might have been beaten to the punch as the first female promoter in boxing, but Eaton earned the distinction of being the first woman to be honored in the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
Joining Eaton in the 2002 class of inductees were four world champions from outside the United States -- heavyweight Ingemar Johansson of Sweden, Mexican welterweight Pipino Cuevas, light heavyweight Victor Galindez of Argentina, and Jeff Fenech of Australia, who won three world titles in three different weight divisions.
Thirteen other non-participants and boxers who fought before 1942, will be inducted June 9.
De La Hoya to fight
