Mahoning County
Ronald L. Simpson, 19, of New Road, Youngstown, was indicted Thursday by a Mahoning County grand jury on charges of escape, theft, two counts of failure to obey a police order and three counts of vandalism. The grand jury declined to indict him on two counts of aggravated vehicular assault. Austintown police said Simpson escaped from custody after a court hearing Dec. 10 in Mahoning County Court, Austintown, and stole a van that contained two guns. He led police on a chase, slamming into a passenger car and a police car, injuring one officer.

Willie F. Hill, 37, Martin Luther King Boulevard, Youngstown; burglary, aggravated arson.
Eddie L. Jackson, 22, St. Louis Avenue, Youngstown; failure to obey a police order.
