NILES -- Lake to River Girl Scout Council is urging the public to think cookies.
The nearly 10,000 Girl Scouts in Northeast Ohio rely on their annual cookie sale to help support their efforts, including breast-cancer awareness.
The girls of Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties will begin selling cookies Saturday.

The organization, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary, has helped more than 50 million girls develop qualities that will serve them throughout their lives, including leadership, strong values, a social conscience and confidence.
They also learn skills, planning, goal-setting, teamwork, decision-making and entrepreneurship.
