Charles Straub, U.S. Rep. James A. Traficant Jr.'s spokesman, said about a congressional redistricting plan that eliminates the 17th District, "Not only did it draw attention to the area, but it makes it easier for the GOP-controlled state Legislature to look at this as a viable option because you have Democrats calling for it to be split up." A quote in Wednesday's editions included a grammatical error that he did not say.
