CANFIELD
Jan. 1
Theft: A total of $8,000 worth of jewelry was reported missing from a residence in the 300 block of Glenview Road. The jewelry was kept in a security box in the top dresser drawer in the master bedroom and owners said they had a list of people who attended a party their teen-ager gave in December.
Theft: A bank debit card was reported missing by a resident of the 400 block of Greenmont Drive who had been on vacation in Florida for a week. On her return to town, she discovered her bank account was overdrawn and someone had made 36 transactions against her account, 24 of which amounted to $900.

Dec. 30
Theft: Seventy-five compact discs were reported stolen from the 50 block of Westminster Avenue.
Drug offense: Possible cocaine was found in the residential 6500 block of South Timberidge Avenue.
Dec. 31
Drug offense: A Lake Milton woman was arrested on a drug offense and criminal trespass and two Lake Milton men were arrested on warrants out of county court for theft at state Route 46 and Interstate 80.
Felonious assault: A man was assaulted by two unidentified men at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Breaking and entering: A hole was cut into the fence and tires and wheels were stolen at Cerni Motors, 5751 Cerni Place.
Criminal damaging: A lawn was reported damaged in the 3000 block of Chaucer Lane.
Criminal damaging: A lawn was reported damaged in the residential 2000 block of Penny Lane.
Assault: A woman accused another woman of assault at Sammy's Lounge, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.
Jan. 1
Theft: Christmas ornaments were stolen from the residential 4000 block of Warwick South.
Criminal damaging: The rear window to a vehicle was damaged in the 3000 block of New Road.
Theft: A compact Sony CD was taken from a vehicle parked in the 600 block of North Four Mile Run Road.
Theft: Keys, a bag and gloves were stolen from a vehicle that was left unlocked in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Boulevard.
Jan. 2
Theft: Personal items were stolen from an auto at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A cellular phone was stolen from Wal-Mart.
Arrest: Police arrested a man on a warrant for theft issued by the Mahoning County Court here.
Aggravated robbery: Two men took an undetermined amount of money at Antone's Restaurant, 4837 Mahoning Ave.
Jan. 3
Criminal mischief: A lawn was reported damaged at Davis Elementary School, 4302 Maple Ave.
Theft: An AM-FM stereo was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Compass West.
Theft: A window was broken and a stereo taken from a vehicle in the residential 4000 block of Patricia Avenue.
Drug offense: A summons was issued for the arrest of an 18-year-old Austintown man for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: Money was taken from a victim's coat pocket at Big Lots, 1730 S. Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: Police arrested a Youngstown man for a drug abuse of marijuana at Bill's Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.
Jan. 4
Criminal damaging: A man reported three tires were slashed on his car in the parking lot in the 900 block of Compass West apartments.
Theft: Nintendo video games were reported stolen from the 300 block of Idlewood Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a Youngstown man on a warrant for forgery in the residential 5000 block of Willowcrest Avenue.
Theft: A total of $7,000 was reported stolen from a briefcase in the 800 block of North Meridian Road.
Auto theft: A 1989 Pontiac Sunbird was reported stolen from Wedgewood Lanes, 1741 S. Raccoon Road.
Breaking and entering: A garage was broken into and tools stolen in the 1500 block of South Meridian Road.
Jan. 5
Criminal damaging: Two screens and carpet were reported damaged in the residential 4000 block of Wedgwood Drive.
Attempted burglary: Two men were observed attempting to gain entry into an auto parked in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
