Parker Hannifinreports orders drop
CLEVELAND -- Parker Hannifin Corp., which makes hydraulic pumps in Youngstown, said orders for its North American industrial business decreased 11 percent in December, compared with the previous December, while industrial business in the rest of the world decreased 12 percent. Its aerospace orders decreased 6 percent.
FNB of Pa. to acquirePromistar Financial
HERMITAGE -- First National Bank of Pennsylvania will become southwestern Pennsylvania's fourth-largest bank when its $427 million stock acquisition of Promistar Financial Corp. of Johnstown is completed Jan. 18.
Hermitage-based First National will follow PNC, Citizens and National City Bank of Pennsylvania as the region's largest banks, with assets totaling $6.9 billion and employing about 2,780, including 1,780 in Pennsylvania.
