Poor shooting Slippery Rock loses 63-47



SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Anthony Frazier scored 20 points and had a team-high nine rebounds to lead Cheyney past Slippery Rock 63-47 Sunday.
Bruce Hall added 10 points for Cheyney (5-5), which led 36-18 at halftime.
Dave Freeman scored 13 points and Aaron Epps added 11 for The Rock (4-7), which shot just 29.8 percent (17-of-57). Ben Zajac has 12 rebounds. The teams combined to shoot 5-of-31 on 3-pointers; Slippery Rock was 5-for-20 and Cheyney was 0-for-11.
Women: Stacey Green scored 21 points as Slippery Rock defeated Cheyney's women's team 57-51. The Rock (6-5) has won three straight games. Shelbey Wardman and Missy McKavish added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Slippery Rock, and Erin Frankovich had 11 rebounds.
Gertrude Evans scored 12 points for Cheyney (2-9), while Tonya Slayton had 10 points and 17 rebounds.
