PUBLIC RELATIONS
CANFIELD -- Tim Fitzpatrick, a Canfield native, has been named director of public affairs at the BASF Corporation in Mount Olive, N.J. Fitzpatrick came to BASF from Philadelphia-based CDI Corporation, where he was vice president of corporate communications and was the recipient of a 2001 Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America.
Fitzpatrick has held several other public relations positions and at one time was a newspaper reporter for The Vindicator. A Canfield High School graduate, Fitzpatrick has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Youngstown State University, where he also served as an adjunct instructor of journalism. BASF Corp. is the North American affiliate of BASF AG of Ludwigshafen, Germany, is the world's largest producer of chemicals and related products, with sales of approximately $34 billion and over 90,000 employees.
MEDIA
YOUNGSTOWN -- Clear Channel Radio has promoted Margie Lenhart to production director for its Youngstown group. Lenhart began her radio career at WPIC in Sharon in 1990. A Sharpsville resident, she has a bachelor's degree in communications from Slippery Rock University.
Clear Channel Youngstown has also hired Brian Price, Lizz Randolph, Thomas Rupe, Jaison Armstrong, Jim Evans and Dan Lankford.
Price joins Lenhart in the production department. A Boardman resident, he has a bachelor's degree in advertising and public relations from Youngstown State University. He came to the company from Cumulus of Youngstown where he was continuity director.
Randolph, formerly news director for WOGF/WOHI in East Liverpool, joined WICT's afternoon drive program. She lives in New Middletown and has an associate degree in electronic technology.
Rupe, who uses the broadcast name Chase, is the newest on-air voice for 95.9 KISS FM. He grew up in Struthers and is attending YSU.
Armstrong, formerly a customer care representative for Preston BMV, and Jim Evans, formerly of WKBN-TV, are new account executives.
Armstrong is a graduate of Michigan State University and lives in Warren. Evans, an Austintown resident, is a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and YSU.
Lankford joins the Boardman office as general sales manager of WBBG and WICT, and comes from New Castle where he was general managers of three Clear Channel radio stations. He has an associate degree in communications and lives in Canfield.
