Fresh green carnations will be sold for $1 each for St. Patrick's Day by the Eastern Regional Kidney Foundation. Orders may be placed through Friday by calling (330) 707-1910. Orders of 12 or more will be delivered March 15.
Flowers also may be purchased from 5 to 9 p.m. March 15 at the Eastwood Mall, noon to 4 p.m. March 16 at Southern Park Mall, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17 at Chrystal's Restaurant and noon to 8 p.m. March 17 at McMenamy's.
Proceeds will benefit local victims of kidney disease with costs for prescription drugs and transportation to and from dialysis centers.
Cemetery cleanup
GIRARD -- Cleanup at the city cemetery will begin Friday and run through March 17. All Christmas decorations must be removed from the graves by March 18 or the city will dispose of them.
