ARTS AND CRAFTS SHOWS
XSt. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 764 Fifth St., Struthers, will sponsor an arts and crafts show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 9 at Father Petric Parish Center. There will also be a bake sale. Admission is free.
AUCTIONS
XHappy Hearts Tamburitzans will sponsor a Chinese auction Saturday at St. George Croatian Home, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Doors open at 2 p.m. and drawings begin at 6 p.m. The cost is $2 and includes one ticket, coffee and cake. Refreshments will be available.
XSt. Brendan Home and School is sponsoring a Chinese auction Sunday at Maxwell Hall, 2800 Oakwood Ave. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and drawings start at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free and their will be food, face painting and special basket prizes.
XA Chinese auction will be held Sunday at St. John Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell. Doors open at 1 p.m. and drawings begin at 3. The cost is $4.
BOOK SALES
XKinsman Free Public Library, 6420 Church St., will begin accepting donations for its annual book sale beginning March 1. The library will accept the following items in good, clean condition: books, paperbacks, computer software, compact discs, records, audio tapes, videos and children's items. Not accepted will be magazines, Reader's Digest condensed books and encyclopedias. For information call (330) 876-2461. The sale will be held April 20-27.
FESTIVALS
XArchangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, 401 Twelfth St., Campbell, will hold a Greek festival from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the church community center. Greek cuisine will be served daily with baked fish and plaki offered Friday and lamb and chicken dinners Saturday and Sunday.
FLEA MARKETS
XSaxon Ladies Society, Branch 22, 710 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will hold a flea market and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 5. Doors open at 10 a.m. and lunch will be available.
FUND-RAISERS
XEaster Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties will sponsor its annual Easter basket raffle from Wednesday through March 27. Tickets are $1 each and may be bought at Cortland, Champion, New Middletown and Struthers Sparkle markets; Patton's IGA; Arby's restaurants in Mineral Ridge, Canfield, Struthers and Poland; Taco Bell in Niles; and Hubbard Shell Station. XA casino night to benefit the Mercer County American Red Cross will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Tiffany's Banquet Center in Brookfield. Participants must be 18 years to enter. XA spaghetti dinner and silent and Chinese auctions will be held from noon to 6:30 p.m. March 9 for the National Heart Transplant Fund in honor of Andrew Dzuracky of Salem. The event will take place at St. Paul School Hall, 929 E. State St., Salem, and the cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Auction tickets are $1 each or 10 for $5. NIGHTS AT THE RACES
XSt. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, will hold a night at the races at the church hall, 463 Robinson Road, Campbell, beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday. Admission and refreshments are free.
