LIMELIGHT Awards, achievements

AUSTINTOWN -- Howard Johnson International has presented a Quality Excellence award and a President's Award to the Howard Johnson Express Inn on Clarkins Drive. Richard Cecil is general manager of the hotel. The awards recognize staff selection and training, guest service and community involvement.
AUSTINTOWN -- Hampton Inn Youngstown West on North Canfield-Niles Road was chosen out of the hotel chain's 1,100 hotels to receive the National Grand Memories Award. Janet Perry is general manager. The award recognizes the Austintown facility for its efforts in the Grand Memories program, a new initiative designed to reach out to senior citizens in the communities where Hampton Inns are located.
CANFIELD -- John H. Wise, a staff accountant with the certified public accounting firm of Reali, Giampetro & amp; Scott, has passed his certified public accountant exam. Wise has been with the firm for two years.
AUSTINTOWN -- Jody Roman, director of human resources for Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Services, has earned a professional certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute. The institute is a credentialing body associated with the Society for Human Resource Management. Roman was also inducted last month as vice president of the programs for the society's Western Reserve chapter.
CANFIELD -- Michael W. Creatore of LPL Financial Services on Boardman-Canfield Road has achieved the credential of Certified Senior Advisor from the Society of Certified Financial Advisors.
