AUSTINTOWN -- Dr. J.P. Shah has accepted the position of medical director for Briarfield Manor in Austintown, and Deborah Fox, a registered nurse, is the new director of nursing services for Briarfield at Ashley Circle, also in Austintown.
Dr. Shah is a graduate of Grant Medical College in Bombay, India. He completed internships at Grant Medical College and JJ Hospital, both in Bombay, and completed a medical residency at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh. He specializes in internal medicine, with a particular interest in osteoporosis, and is on the clinical staff at St. Elizabeth Health Center and Forum Health Northside Medical Center. He has been in private practice since 1974 and has offices in Boardman.
Fox had been a coordinator at Briarfield Manor since January 2001, and before that was a regional nurse consultant for Genesis ElderCare Centers and The Multicare Companies in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
LAW
YOUNGSTOWN -- Davis & amp; Young, a legal professional association with offices in Youngstown, Akron and Cleveland, has moved its Mahoning County office to larger quarters in The Commerce Building in downtown Youngstown and added a new attorney. Jacquelyn Coles-Jones is the newest attorney in the local office. She has a bachelor's degree in professional writing and editing from Youngstown State University and earned her law degree at Cleveland State University.
WARREN -- Marietta M. Pavlidis of Warren is a new staff attorney in the Akron office of Buckingham, Doolittle & amp; Burroughs, LLP, a law firm. She will be working in the firm's family law and workers' compensation practice groups. Pavlidis had been an associate with Letson, Griffith, Woodall, Lavelle & amp; Rosenberg Co., L.P.A. She has a bachelor's degree from Kent State University and earned her law degree from Cleveland State University. While in law school she worked as a law clerk for 13 judges and 10 magistrates of the Cleveland Municipal Court in Cleveland and was a mediator in the Small Claims Division of that court.
BANKING
YOUNGSTOWN -- Scott O. Calhoun, a Youngstown State University graduate, has been named vice president and floor plan sales representative in dealer finance for National City Bank of Pennsylvania in Erie. Calhoun has been with the company since 1997 and had been a relationship manager. His new position will involve working with business in the Youngstown-Warren area, as well as in northwest Pennsylvania and southwest New York. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from YSU and lives in Millcreek, Pa.

BOARDMAN -- Jill Schmutz, a Boardman native, has been hired as a media assistant at SBC Advertising in Columbus. Schmutz, who lives in Columbus, has a bachelor's degree in English from The Ohio State University and had been working at the agency as an intern since the spring of 2001.
