Harrells mark 50th anniversary at reception



YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Harrell of 1148 Miami St. renewed their marriage vows Feb. 23 at Phillips Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary.
The couple were honored afterward at a reception at St. Mark Center. Hosts for the observance were the couple's children and their spouses, Cheryl and Robert White of Reynoldsburg; LaVerne and Ronald Bournes of Long Beach, Calif.; Larry and Natalie Harrell of Decatur, Ga.; and Beniann and Miles Moss of Arlington, Texas.
Mr. Harrell and the former Anna Blackburn were married Feb. 21, 1952, at the Phillips Chapel parsonage. He retired Aug. 1, 1996, from Packard Electric in Warren, where he was a supervisor. He is a member of the Mahoning and Trumbull Golfers and Prime Timers Bowlers.
Mrs. Harrell retired May 19, 1995, from D & amp;E Counseling Center, where she was an administrative assistant. She belongs to the Youngstown Chapter of the National Council of Negro Women.
The Harrells are members of Phillips Chapel C.M.E. and the Creme de la Creme Couples Club.
Thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren complete their family.
