FUND-RAISER Rescue Mission plans art auction



The event at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex will feature 45 artists and galleries.
BOARDMAN -- A variety of activities will highlight the fourth annual benefit art auction March 1 sponsored by Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley.
The fund-raiser is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre in Liberty, and will include a live art auction, silent auction, displays by artists and a P. Buckley Moss art raffle.
Guest celebrity mistress of ceremonies will be Laura Steele and master of ceremonies, Bob Black, both of WFMJ TV-21.
Auction details: Among items in the silent auction, which will start at 6, are Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers tickets; gift certificates for dinners, photos, music lessons, jewelry, golf and home-decorating items; and theater tickets. Some 45 artists and galleries will be represented in the art auction.
Raffle tickets at one dollar each or six for $5 will be sold for a P. Buckley Moss art raffle. Nine area restaurants will provide hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and desserts.
The cost is $10 each or $15 for two. Tickets may be purchased at the door. All proceeds benefit the Rescue Mission, 962 Martin Luther King Blvd., Youngstown.
