Black firefighters groupto have open house
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Black Fire Fighters Association will have an open house from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 8 at the Wick Park pavilion.
The open house is to introduce the group to community leaders and the general public. The group's mission is to promote interracial progress within the fire service, provide positive role models to minority youth, and support community groups that work to improve quality of life in the black community.
ODOT seeks commentson Route 88 work plans
WEST FARMINGTON -- Ohio Department of Transportation plans to resurface state Route 88, from the Geauga-Trumbull county line, east to state Route 45 in Farmington and Bristol townships.
The project includes the replacement of a bridge over a tributary to the Grand River.
