Scouting report: The Penguins have had a week off since losing their last game to UW-Green Bay 72-55 at Beeghly. The Penguins have two games remaining. They finish the season Sunday at Wright State. Senior center Jen Horner was named Wednesday to the Verizon Academic All-District IV first team, the first time a YSU player has ever been named first-team. Lisa Rotunno was named second team in 1999. UW-Milwaukee is a half-game behind UW-Green Bay in the team and is coming off two straight road victories -- over Cleveland State, 65-61, and Detroit, 73-71.
The series: This will be only the eighth meeting between the teams, with UW-Milwaukee holding a 4-3 advantage. The Panthers embarrassed the Penguins in the first meeting this year at Milwaukee, 100-46, the worst loss in YSU history.

MEN
Who: Youngstown State (3-22, 1-14 Horizon League) vs. Wisconsin-Green Bay (6-18, 3-10)
When: 7:35 p.m.
Where: Beeghly Center.
Coaches: John Robic (34-49) is in his third season at YSU. Mike Heideman is in his seventh season with the Phoenix and is 107-92, while his 11-year career record stands at 173-117.
YSU starters: Ryan Patton, 5-11 senior guard (14.9 points per game, 2.4 rebounds per game); Doug Underwood, 6-3 freshman guard (10.4, 3.6); Jimmy Moore, 6-5 freshman forward (7.0, 4.4); Brian Radakovich, 6-7 freshman forward (6.4, 4.8); Stephen Flores, 6-7 senior forward (6.8, 4.5).
UW-Green Bay starters: DeVante Blanks, 5-10 senior guard (12.9 ppg, 2.7 rpg); Matt Rohde, 6-2 freshman guard (7.8, 2.3); Greg Babcock, 6-9 junior center (10.1, 6.1); Kevin Hughes, 6-7 sophomore forward (5.9, 3.1); Aaron Jessup, 6-4 senior forward (9.7, 2.7).
Scouting report: The Penguins are currently on a 13-game losing streak and are hoping they can snap the streak at home against the Phoenix. YSU finished its road portion of the schedule winless in 15 games. Its last outing was a 63-52 loss at Detroit. YSU senior Ryan Patton needs only 12 points to reach the 1,000-point mark in his career and become the 28th player in the school's history to do that. He could also become the second YSU player ever to score 1,000 points and dish out 400 assists. The other is Bruce Timko. The Phoenix have been playing their best basketball the past month. They lost a 71-70 decision to Wright State and a 77-74 contest to league-leading Butler. UW-Green Bay was winless on the road in 10 games before snapping Detroit's 39-game home winning streak on Feb. 11.
The series: This will be the seventh meeting between the two teams, and YSU is still looking for its first win. The Phoenix beat the Penguins 53-50 on Jan. 28 in Green Bay when the Penguins had been hard hit by the flu bug. The last time the teams met at Beeghly, Green Bay won 69-67.
