Wooster beats Allegheny

WOOSTER -- The College of Wooster men's basketball team advanced to the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament semifinals with an 82-72 win over visiting Allegheny College Tuesday night.
Five players scored in double figures for Wooster (20-6, 14-3), led by Bryan Nelson with 14. Nick Catanzarite scored 25 points to lead Allegheny (11-14, 6-10).
Women: GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Sara Snyder scored 21 points as Thiel beat Waynesburg 77-48 Tuesday night to advance to the Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament.
Amanda Swanson added 15 points for Thiel (14-12, 5-4), and Kyana Bradley led Waynesburg (9-16, 0-9) with 17 points.
John Carroll 78, Mount Union 71: UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- John Carroll advanced to the quarterfinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament by defeating Mount Union College Monday.
In other action Monday, Mt. Aloysius defeated Westminster 87-64.
