LAWRENCE COUNTY Reassessment

Preliminary notice of fair market value will be mailed to all Lawrence County property owners next week. Here is how the company that conducted the property reassessment will handle complaints and questions.
Five telephone operators will be available from Feb. 27 to March 13 to schedule an appointment for an informal review with a Manatron Sabre Systems employee. Those telephone lines will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at (724) 656-2297.
The first day of administrative reviews will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 28 through April 12. Meetings for residential reviews will be allotted 15 minutes to appeal their fair market values, and commercial properties will get 30 minutes.
Anyone appealing a residential property should bring copies of this information to their informal review:
Interior and exterior photographs.
Recent sales agreements after Jan. 1, 1997.
Comparable sales after Jan. 1, 1997.
Recent appraisals, preferably after 1999.
Detailed cost of construction if recently built.
Anyone appealing a commercial property assessment should bring:
All those items stated for residential reviews.
Income and expense statements.
Tenant rosters or rent rolls.
Tax returns.
Lease agreements.
When informal reviews are finished, Sabre will deliver its appraisals to county officials. The county will then issue its own official notice of the reassessment for properties June 6.
