Highlights of the Girard Municipal Court's 2000 annual report filed by Judge Michael A. Bernard:
Criminal cases: 1,119 filed, compared with 1,089 in 1999, an increase of 2.75 percent.
Probation referrals: 1,005 people referred to the probation department, compared with 969 in 1999, an increase of 3.71 percent.
Civil cases: 959 filed, compared with 860 in 1999, an 11.51-percent increase.
Civil receipts: $240,707 collected, compared with $215,905 in 1999, an 11.48-percent increase.
Judgments: $141,032 paid to creditor to satisfy judgments, compared with $130,526 in 1999, a 8.04-percent increase.
Restitution paid victims: $129,699, a $16,736 or 14.82-percent increase from 1999.
Probation fees: $209,292 collected, a $37,535 or 21.85-percent increase from 1999.
