New toys for big boys

The auto show will begin March 2 and will feature more than 750 vehicles froma variety of automakers.
CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland International Auto Show will feature some concept vehicles and new vehicles just coming to dealer showrooms.
The show at Cleveland's I-X Center will be March 2-10. It features more than 750 vehicles from a variety of automakers.
Among the concept vehicles will be the Chrysler Crossfire, Ford Mighty F-350 Tonka and GMC Terra4.
Descriptions: Chrysler intends to build a production version of the Crossfire next year as a 2004 model. It bills the sports car as a blend of European proportions and technology with the power and personality of an American performance car.
The Tonka is meant to bring together the playfulness of the legendary child's toy with the durability of a real-world truck. Ford says the truck signals the direction the design of its trucks will take in the future.
GMC says Terra4 is designed to be more useful than a traditional pickup truck. It has a short, deep cargo area with doors on the rear quarter panels. The cab, which is filled with luxury features, has been moved up to provide interior cargo space behind the second row of seats.
New vehicles: Here are some new production vehicles that will be at the show:
U2003 Acura CL: Sporty five-passenger coupe undergoes modifications for the 2003 model year.
U2003 Cadillac CTS: This model is designed for the entry-luxury segment.
U2003 Chevrolet SSR: A roadster with pick-up truck versatility will go into production late this year.
U2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10: One of the most powerful production cars ever made is expected to arrive in dealerships later this year.
U2003 Pontiac Vibe: This sport wagon combines car-like handling, comfortable seating with cargo-hauling capabilities.
U2003 Toyota Matrix: Toyota's entry in the multi-purpose segment is designed to blend the functions of a sports utility vehicle, performance of a sports car and affordability of a subcompact.
