FUND-RAISER Quad run and party

Bob Varano's friends are putting on a fund-raiser to help him pay for his $2,100 per month medication bill. Varano recently underwent a second heart transplant.
What: Quad run and party.
Where: Gino's Nite Trax, U.S. Route 224 in Hillsville, Pa.
When: Quad run, a 60-mile trek on four-wheeled motorcycles, registration begins at noon Saturday; party will follow at 8 p.m.
Donations: The cost is $10 per rider, and other donations will be accepted at the door of the party.
