Changes at St. E's
YOUNGSTOWN -- Phase one of a two-phase emergency department renovation and expansion at St. Elizabeth Health Center will begin Monday and require some re-routing of traffic.
Phase one, which will provide more treatment space, is expected to take four months. During this phase, the current emergency entrance will be closed, and all traffic, including ambulances, will be directed west to the outpatient surgery center.
All ambulance drop-offs will remain the same, but emergency walk-ins will enter at the small blue canopy between the outpatient surgery entrance and the ambulance parking area.
The second phase, consisting of additional internal renovations and expansion, will begin later this year.
