Walsh sails past Geneva for 22nd triumph

NORTH CANTON -- A major second-half scoring outburst carried Walsh University over Geneva College 86-63 in an American Mideast Conference men's basketball game Thursday.
Walsh (22-6, 14-3) trailed 36-35 at the break but out-scored Geneva (15-13, 6-11) 51-27 in the second half.
Ben Holt scored 18 points and had 12 rebounds while Jason Hamilton and J.R. Ogletree each had 16 points for the Cavaliers.
Stefan Grundberg scored 16 points for Geneva.
Women: NORTH CANTON -- Ashley Norman shot 9-for-12 from the field and scored 18 points as Walsh defeated Geneva 73-66 in an American Mideast Conference game.
Kerri Andrews added 14 points and Emily Mongillo scored 11 points for Walsh (13-13, 12-7).
Geneva (9-17, 7-12) got 22 points from Sabrina Adams while Truly Norman was in with 16 points.
