Mom pleads guilty in case

WARREN -- A 35-year-old Bristol woman has pleaded guilty to one count of child endangering in exchange for the dismissal of three more identical counts.
Angelique Bailey entered her plea Thursday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. Judge John Stuard said she will be sentenced after a background check by the county adult probation department. She could receive up to five years in prison. Police said Bailey left her four children alone with Thomas J. McDaniel, the 14-year-old son of her live-in companion.
Thomas pleaded guilty in juvenile court in October to one delinquency charge of rape. He was sentenced to one to seven years in an Ohio Department of Youth Services facility.
Authorities said Thomas raped a 5-year-old girl in their state Route 88 home in July while he was baby-sitting the girl and two other children.
The girl spent several weeks in a hospital. Thomas told investigators he was often left alone in charge of Bailey's children -- ages 8, 5, 2 and 2 months -- for days at a time.
Roy McDaniel is the father of Thomas and the 8-year-old.
All the children are in the custody of Trumbull County Children Services, officials said. The 2-month-old was with Bailey and McDaniel on the day the 5-year-old was raped, authorities said.
