Cutting hair for charity
CHAMPION -- The senior cosmetology class at Trumbull Career and Technical Center wants hair.
On March 1, students will be cutting hair and collecting ponytails on behalf of Wigs for Kids, a Rocky River-based charity that provides wigs at no cost to children who have lost their hair.
The charity gives wigs, created at a cost of about $1,500 each, to children suffering from a variety of medical conditions. Wigs for Kids gives away at least 30 full hairpieces a year.
Women, children and men whose hair is at least 12 inches long may donate. The organization cannot accept hair that has been highlighted or color treated. For an appointment, call (330) 847-0503.
