Poland girls edge Salem, 67-66, for 14th triumph of season

SALEM -- Poland High senior Julie Gallo scored 22 points as the Bulldogs edged Salem 67-66 in a girls Metro Athletic Conference basketball game on Tuesday night.
Taryn Carlson added 19 points and Steffi Graf and Kristy Gaudiose each added 13 points for Poland (14-5, 7-3 MAC).
Alyson Cotter scored 19 points, and hit three 3-pointers to tie Salem's single season record of 35.
Lauren Teal scored a career-high 22 points for the Quakers (11-9, 5-5) and Lizzie Jesko added nine points and eight assists.
