Yoga teacher opens school for healing

BOARDMAN -- Area yoga instructor and Reiki master Victoria Davanzo is striking out on her own.
Her new Inner Wellness Healing Arts Studio and School is scheduled to open Feb. 18 at 7178 West Blvd., offering yoga, Reiki, reflexology, hypnosis, massage, workshops and more. An open house will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Davanzo, who has taught at Salem YWCA, Club South in Boardman and Treat Yourself Center for Holistic Health in Canfield, said she decided to open her own practice because of increasing demand for yoga and other spiritual practices.
Certification: She began teaching yoga out of her home in 1996 and is certified by the International Metaphysical Association and Integrative Yoga Therapy.
Classes will include yoga for kids, partners, beginners, intermediate students and those interested in power yoga. The 200-hour training course to become a yoga instructor is the first one in area, she said.
Working with Davanzo will be her daughter, Tina Crouse, a yoga instructor and practitioner of relaxation massage; Kevin Payne, yoga instructor and Reiki master; Gail Reddinger, a hypnotherapist and registered nurse; and Donna Bristow, a Feng Shui consultant.
