YOUNGSTOWN -- Pig Iron Press will hold its Second Tuesday Poetry Reading at Cedar Cafe on 131 West Commerce Street at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The event is open to the public, though presenters are limited to 8 minutes. Sign up at the door after 6:30 p.m. to read. Sign-up closes at 8:45 p.m.
Fiction Workshop
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Local author Susan Dexter will conduct the February session of "Where Writers Become Authors," on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at Jerry Stigliano's Book Source on State Street in Hermitage, Pa.
One of the topics to be discussed is world-building. The workshop will also include writing exercises and a general discussion of writing, agents and publishing.
Fiction writers at all levels are invited. There is a $10 registration fee, and reservations are suggested. They can be made by phone at (724) 981-0777 or at the front counter of the Book Source.
