Beginning in February, members of the Youngstown State University Art Department Faculty will present gallery talks at the Butler and its satellite facilities. This free program will focus on both temporary exhibits and the institute's permanent collection. Feb. 13 at 2 p.m., professor Al Bright will present "African-American Artists and the Butler Collection." Feb. 27 at 3 p.m., professor Michael Moseley will lead a tour of the Bray collection of pottery and ceramic art. April 18 at 2 p.m., professor Greg Moring will highlight the Butler's current Don Gummer retrospective with "Don Gummer: In the Context of Post War Sculpture." May 1 at 2 p.m., Dr. Patricia Sarro will present "Images of the Indigenous: 19th-Century Painting in Mexico & amp; the U.S." June 5 at 6:30 p.m., professor Richard Mitchell will highlight current Butler photography shows with "Current Trends in Photography." The prospectus for the Butler's 66th National Midyear Show is now available. The Midyear Show is open to any artist age 18 or older living in the United States or its possessions. An exhibit of watercolor paintings by the Tuesday Painters will be at Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa., from March 4 through April 11. Regional artists participating are Terri Madden, Lotte Herwig-Ernhardt, Cathy Milligan and Mary Kay D'Isa. Call Westminster College for gallery hours.
