SPELLING BEE ACSI district competition



The Association of Christian Schools International District Spelling Bee was conducted in January at Jefferson County Christian School in Mingo Junction. Local schools competing were Word of Life Christian Academy in Warren, Salem Christian Academy and Heartland Christian School in Columbiana. The host school also competed. The results:

RUNOFF ROUND
The top two finishers in grades 5-8 competed in the runoff round, with the top four finishers moving on to the regional bee to be held in Columbus in April. The top four were Samuel Quillen, grade 7, JCCS, 1st; Jordan McDaniel, grade 6, SCA, 2nd; Daniel Hutchison, grade 8, JCCS, 3rd; and Jessica Stearns, grade 6, HCS, 4th.
