Fletcher leads Liberty past Lakeview in overtime, 60-58

CORTLAND -- The Liberty High basketball team scored the first three points in overtime as it turned back Lakeview 60-58 Friday in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game.
Bradley Fletcher sparked Liberty (4-13, 4-9) with 24 points. Joe Lopez chipped in with 12 and Seth Kessler finished with 11.
Kevin Rigby led Lakeview (9-7, 7-5) with 18 points and he grabbed 13 rebounds. Brandon Bakker added 16 points.
Girard 56, Brookfield 54: BROOKFIELD -- The Indians rallied from behind in the final period, then held off Brookfield to post its seventh victory of the season.
The Indians held a five point lead with 10 seconds remaining, but Ted Swagger hit a 3-point goal for Brookfield to narrow the gap, but the Warriors ran out of time.
Elliott Steverson and Greg Cook each had 11 points to lead Girard (7-10, 4-9) while Julian Hayes tossed in a game-high 19 points for the Warriors (6-10, 2-10).
