Tax filing assistance
YOUNGSTOWN -- Assistance with the filing of income tax returns for the elderly and people with low income and disabilities is provided by the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program at Youngstown State University. The program is sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service.
The service is offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, beginning this month, in room 115 of Williamson College of Business Administration, on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Phelps Street.
Taxpayers should bring 2001 tax wage and earning statements, interest statements, 2000 tax return, Social Security numbers, and any other relevant information.
