HORIZON Brown's six treys throttle Loyola
Missouri-Kansas City lost while Wisconsin-Green Bay won.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Demon Brown hit six 3-pointers and scored 20 points as Charlotte beat Loyola of Chicago 82-69 Friday in the Pepsi Classic.
Kevin "Butter" Johnson added 16 points for the 49ers (5-3), who shot 54 percent in the second game of the three-day, four-team round-robin event.
Colorado beat Louisiana-Lafayette 75-56 in the opening game Friday.
Charlotte, which made 10-of-24 3-pointers and recorded 22 assists, has won three-straight games and is 5-0 at home.
Paul McMillan scored 16 points and Terrance Whiters and Corey Minnifield added 12 apiece for the Ramblers (4-6), who went more than six minutes without scoring in the second half as they lost their fourth-straight game.
It's Loyola's longest losing streak since they dropped the final seven games of the 2000-2001 season.
The Ramblers moved within 55-43 on Minnifield's 3-point play with 15:18 remaining. But Loyola would not score again until Louis Smith's jumper with 8:48 to go.
Charlotte went ahead to stay on a 9-0 run capped off by Brown's 3-pointer that made it 15-10 with 13:16 left in the first half.

LOGAN, Utah -- Scott Henry and David Schroeder each scored 16 points to lead Idaho State to a victory in the first round at the Gossner Foods Holiday Classic.
With the win, Idaho State improved to 6-4, while UMKC dropped to 1-8. The win was the fifth straight for the Bengals, who never trailed after the first five minutes of the game.
Henry added a team-high 10 rebounds in addition to his 16 points. He converted eight-of-11 field goal attempts. Schroeder added seven rebounds and a game-high three steals.
Danny Boticki came off the bench to add 12 points for Idaho State, which shot 48.5 percent from the field and out-rebounded UMKC 48-34. UMKC, which shot just 28.9 percent from the field, was led by Michael Watson, who scored 22 points on nine-of-31 shooting. Watson's 31 field goal attempts were a tournament record as were his 17 three-point attempts.
Carlton Aaron added 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds from UMKC. The Kangaroos hit only 22-of-66 field goal attempts and were six-of-29 from three-point range.
ISU led by as many as 12 points (36-24) in the first half before a UMKC run cut the margin to 39-31 at halftime. ISU then built up as much as a 20-point margin in the second half.
Idaho State will meet the winner of the Utah State vs. Arkansas State game today for the tournament title.
Wis.-Green Bay 74, Austin Peay 69
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Wisconsin-Green Bay, led by Mike King with 20 points, outscored Austin Peay 8-3 in the game's final minute to win in opening action of the Oneida Bingo & amp; Casino Classic.
The Phoenix (4-7) advanced to tonight's title game against Delaware (5-3), which beat Eastern Washington 66-56 earlier Friday.
King, a junior forward making his first start of the season, hit 10 of 16 field goal tries. Sophomore guard Brandon Hansen added 16 points and sophomore point guard Matt Rohde chipped in 13 for Green Bay.
The Phoenix shot 48.1 percent form the floor and 70 percent (7 of 10) from 3-point range.
Forward Josh Lewis led Austin Peay (5-4) with 19 points, while guard Rhet Wierzba scored 15 and forward Adrian Henning added 14 for the Governors.
