Burglary: A woman in the 800 block of North Ward Avenue reported someone broke into her home and stole a piggy bank with an undetermined amount of change, and two knives.
Bad check: An employee at Farmer's National Bank, 121 N. State St., reported two women tried to cash a bad check for an undetermined amount.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 17-year-old Girard girl on a domestic violence charge after her father reported she scratched her younger brother during a confrontation. The boy had several scratches on his chest.
Domestic violence: A Masury man was arrested and charged with domestic violence after a woman alleged he punched her in the chest, throat and face as they argued about their 14-year-old child.
Theft: A woman in the 500 block of Taylor Avenue reported her telescope stolen.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 600 block of Joan Avenue reported someone tossed a brick through his vehicle's windshield.
Theft: A woman in the 600 block of North Ward Avenue alleged her daughter stole an Indian statue from her home.

Criminal damaging: A woman reported someone used a wrench to break the window of her fiance's vehicle in the 300 block of Idaho Street.

Burglary: Someone broke into and ransacked a residence in the 1000 block of Academy Drive and stole a book of 100 Charter One bank checks.
Warrant: Police arrested a 22-year-old Cortland man at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 242 Federal Plaza W., Youngstown, on a charge of passing bad checks.

Auto theft: A 1980 Pontiac Bonneville was stolen from a parking lot at an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Frederick Street.
