MARIA LIMBERTGEORGE MARKAKIS
XYOUNGSTOWN -- Maria Limbert, daughter of Judge and Mrs. George Limbert, 8008 Spartan Drive, and George Aristotle Markakis, son of Dr. Aristotle Markakis of Fairview Park and the late Argyro Markakis, were married at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at St. John Greek Orthodox Church.
The Revs. Andrew Kolitsos and Paul Patitsas officiated. After a reception at the Butler Institute of American Art, the couple left on a wedding trip to Hawaii. They live in Columbus.
The bride wore a candlelight silk gown trimmed with pearls. She completed her ensemble with her mother's veiled headpiece of Alencon lace and pearls.
Elena Limbert was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Dr. Dorothea Markakis, Dr. Maria Zestos and Dr. Eleni Markakis. Flower girls were Garifalia, Anna and Georgia Kasamias; Angelina, Barbara and Arsenia Georgeopoulos; Sia Beasley; Stavroula Soulas; and Eleni Zestos.
Atty. Chris McMonagle was best man, and groomsmen were Mitchell G. and G.B. Limbert, Dr. John Apostolakis and Dr. Demetri Zestos. Ring bearers were Nicholas Apostolakis and Vasili Zestos.
The bride is an assistant attorney general for the state of Ohio in Columbus. She graduated from Ohio State University, studied law at Oxford College in Oxford, England, and earned a juris doctorate at The Moritz College of Law at OSU.
The groom is employed by the Ohio State University Eye Bank. He graduated from Kenyon College and earned his master's at OSU, where he is pursuing his doctorate.
