Santa makes an early Christmas visit to Overlook Medical Center, New Wilmington, Pa. He left the reindeer at home Thursday and chose to use a helicopter to bring presents for residents of the medical center and at Jameson Care Center in New Castle and Orchard Manor in Grove City. The helicopter was provided by Dr. Timothy Heffner, presdent and CEO of BioTechnology Corp. of America in Wexford, Pa. Above, Santa, played by Bill Hays, waves to well-wishers after departing the helicopter. At left, Santa brings Christmas cheer to Overlook resident Anthony Annecillo. At right, he greets Jean Blews. The Presents for Patients program is operated by St. Barnabas Charitable Foundation. In its 19th year, the campaign aims to match 20,500 nursing home and personal care patients with a gift.
