WEATHERSFIELD TOWNSHIP Trustees, department heads to get 3% increase in salary



Two people were appointed to fill zoning commission vacancies.

MINERAL RIDGE -- Weathersfield Township trustees approved 3-percent salary increases Tuesday for department heads.
They also gave themselves a 3-percent increase to an annual salary of $10,805, starting in 2003.
Fred Bobovnyk, trustee chairman, said the raises for the three trustees, including James Price and James Stoddard, are based on raises permitted under Ohio Revised Code, and are the maximum amount permitted under the code. The salaries are to be paid in equal monthly installments.
Police Chief Joseph Consiglio was given a raise from $45,400 to $46,760, effective with the first pay of 2003.
Police Captain Michael Naples' salary increased from $41,000 to $42,300.
Township Administrator David Pugh will go from $49,668 to $51,158 and Zoning Inspector Sherri Craver will go from $29,120 to $30,000.
Other employees given raises were office workers Judie Jendrasiak, who got a 40-cent-an-hour raise from $13.90 to $14.30 an hour and Debbie Lindenmuth, who got a $1-an-hour raise, from $10.80 to $11.80 an hour.
Reappointed
In other action, trustees reappointed Lydia Infante to a five-year term on the township Board of Zoning Appeals, from Jan. 1, 2003, to Dec. 31, 2007.
Appointed to fill vacancies on the township zoning commission were Mary Ann Davis of Oakview Drive, to a five-year term starting Jan. 1, 2003, to Dec. 31, 2007, to fill a post left vacant by the resignation of Harlan Collier; and James Sweeney of West Liberty Street, to a three-year term starting Jan. 1, 2003, through Dec. 31, 2005. Sweeney will fill a post left vacant by the resignation of member Daniel Daniluk Jr., who is moving out of the township.
Trustees have set their regular meeting date for 2003 for the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.
