Anniversary to be observed by the Pelos



XLORDSTOWN -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Pelo, 4474 Tod Ave. S.W., will be celebrated during a reception planned for 6 p.m. Jan. 4 at the Imperial Restaurant, 1860 Elm Road N.E., Warren.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the celebration.
Hosts for the event are the couple's children and their spouses, Andrew and Anita Pelo of Edgerton; Tina and Raymond DeGarmo of Patriot; Nina Pelo and Myra and Charles Grandon, all of Newton Falls; Mark and Kathy Pelo of Macy, Ind.; Lisa Pelo-McNiece and Brent McNiece of Clayton, Ind.; and Iva Johnson of Indianapolis.
The former Fay Adams and Mr. Pelo were united in marriage Jan. 14, 1953, at the home of the Rev. Bob Weber in Newton Falls. They have 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild and are members of Lordstown Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Pelo retired in 1995 from the Lordstown Police Department, where she was employed 18 years as a dispatcher. She is on the board of directors with Cavalier Credit Union.
Mr. Pelo retired in 1990 after 25 years of service with Packard Electric Co. in Warren, where he was a tool-room foreman. He served with the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and is a member of Lordstown Village Board of Public Affairs.
